Rocket League

Rocket League is the best and the worst game at the same time. I liked the game best when it was still on Steam and not owned by EPIC, the switch to EPIC and therefore the switch to being free to play did nothing good for the game as a whole.

The current state of the game is awful, it is filled with AI bots and people that DDOS the server in order to gain an advantage. The last update they pushed to fix this has not changed anything. It's either that they don't know what to do (which is fair) or don't care about the competitive players and only care about the casuals, since this is the majority of the player base and also spend the most money on cosmetics.

I do remember having genuine fun in the game though. I enjoyed grinding for the ranks, the ranked rewards and the in-game tournaments. I still like to watch some specific streamers and the occasional RLCS match. And I would still visit the RLCS live if it's somewhat close again, but it's not the game I will ever grind again, maybe play some fun game in Champion 3/Grand Champion, but high ranks is not for me anymore
